On the left side of Dexter's head you will see a telephone jack which provides a compact way of connecting to a host computer. This is not only how we program the mouse, but is also used after the runs to view the contents of the robot's memory.

Below the programming jack is a D.C. jack which allows the mouse to be powered by an external power supply. We used the power supply from an old desktop computer.
